About ME

Hi, I’m Nicole, a PNW-based artist, and my work has become a way to explore ideas and emotions that inspire me. From a young age, I was drawn to creative expression, finding comfort in quiet moments spent drawing and experimenting with materials. Over time, art has come to mean more than creating something beautiful—it’s my way of reflecting on experiences, emotions, and the causes I care deeply about, including social justice and the environment.

As a first-generation Armenian-American, I’ve been shaped by the sense of community and resilience that my heritage embodies. While my work isn’t explicitly tied to my culture, I carry its values with me, especially the importance of perseverance and giving back. The Armenian community inspires me and I hope to use my art to contribute to that legacy.

I work with both acrylic and oil paints, choosing the medium that best serves each piece. I also use digital tools, such as photography and Photoshop, to draft ideas and create color palettes and references. Once I arrive at my canvas, my process often involves layering colors and textures to create something that’s both visually compelling and emotionally resonant. I like to think of each piece as an invitation to look deeper—by framing specific subjects, I aim to highlight the often-overlooked details that make us feel human and remind us of our shared experiences.

Whether I’m creating a portrait, an abstract landscape, or experimenting with patterns, I strive to make art that leaves a lasting impression. My hope is that each piece resonates on an aesthetic and emotional level, encouraging people to pause, reflect, and find something familiar in a new way.

Thank you for taking the time to get to know me and my work. It means a lot, and I’d love to hear from you if something resonates or sparks a thought. Feel free to reach out or connect with me.
